Pete and Fran are fully qualified and experienced Mental Health First Aid Trainers and can offer courses at levels 1, 2 and 3.
They have strong backgrounds in both Education and Healthcare.
This half day course provides learners with the knowledge to recognise a range of mental health conditions, how to start a supportive conversation and when and how to signpost a person to seek appropriate professional help. Learners will also know how to recognise and manage stress.
This course would be suitable for learners who wish to understand more about mental health first aid.
Date: Jan 12th or Feb 2nd
This one-day course covers the content of the Level 1 course but also includes the effects of drugs and alcohol, the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan and a consideration of Mental Health in the Workplace.
This course would be suitable for those learners who might wish to become mental health first aiders at their place of work.
Date: Jan 13th or Feb 3rd
This two-day course covers the content of both the Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications and considers a range of mental health conditions in some detail. It also looks more closely at the support and help provided by healthcare professionals.
This course would be suitable for learners who might wish to become trainers themselves or achieve mental health supervisor roles within the workplace.
All three courses will be assessed by a professional discussion on a negotiated date following the completion of the course.
Date: Jan 19/20th or Feb 9/10th
