Where it all started
After returning to the UK in 2018 from a two-year stint in Dubai we started to plan how we could commit to sharing our skills and experiences to positively-impact others.
Both of us did additional training to become instructors in Mental Health First Aid to add to the toolbox of experiences we already had and could share with others. We started our own consultancy business back in February 2020. Not the greatest of timing as it coincided with the start of the pandemic! However, the lockdown period allowed us to talk through why we wanted to start Magenta Education and what we could personally offer our customers. From there we developed our business strategy.
Both of us are driven to make a positive impact on the education of young people and adults in whatever way we can. We are both committed to offering a high-quality service to all of our customers through:

I have had wide and successful leadership experience in education in the UK and overseas, including the UAE and Qatar, predominantly in special needs. I have held the UK National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) since 2006 and completed my training for School Inspection (Ofsted training) with SERCO in 2016.
I have been employed as an inspector for evaluations in the Northern Emirates for CfBT and have done extensive training to leaders of schools there.
I was a headteacher for a special needs centre in Dubai and have worked for the Ministry of Education there and as a consultant. I have been Director of a Teaching School Alliance in Lincolnshire.
I am a qualified instructor for Mental Health First Aid and have completed a coaching course.
I have also been a UK Registered General Nurse and Health Visitor and take a strong interest in the welfare and well-being of students and will be starting a Return to Nursing course in September 2024.
I have successfully completed a qualification in Project Management and would be keen to do projects within the NHS or Education system.
I am now a fully-trained First Aid instructor and can offer a variety of First Aid courses of varying length.

I have had a lifetime of experience in teaching, teacher training, school inspection and CPD, predominantly in science, in both the UK and overseas (particularly in the Middle East). I have almost 20 years experience of teaching and management in schools and approximately 15 years in teacher training and science lecturing as Head of Science at Bishop Grosseteste University.
I have extensive experience of private tuition and examining at all stages up to honours degree level. On completing a 2-year contract as the Science Specialist for the Supreme Education Council in Qatar, I worked as a freelance science education consultant in both the UK and the UAE
For eight years I was a member of the Ministry of Education team evaluating/inspecting schools in Dubai and the Northern Emirates and have also carried out inspections for KHDA in Dubai. I have delivered a wide range of training programmes to teachers in both the UK and overseas.
I have completed two TESOL courses and have been working with refugee doctors to improve their English language on a voluntary basis with the Lincolnshire Refugee Doctor Project.
I have also worked for Coventry University with their teacher training programme as a visiting assessor.
I have a particular interest on climate change and the effect it is having on the Earth. I am a member of the Lincoln Climate Commission and have delivered workshops to schools and adult groups such as the Women’s Institute on the topic of climate change. These workshops can be adapted to any age group and are designed to raise awareness around the issues of climate change and global warming.
